Why Activations Do Not Work: How to Use Them Correctly

Sometimes a person receives a personalized activation file, sees a date, time, and sector, and still does not know where to begin. Or they do everything correctly, as far as they can tell, but expect far too much from a single practice. Usually, the problem is not that the activation “did not work.” More often, it arises when we try to replace an entire situation with one action: we take a date without considering the conditions, choose a goal that is too broad, or simply expect a candle, a walk, or the right sector to solve the problem on its own.

Dates, explanations, and materials for independent practice are regularly published in the “ShenQi Activations” channel. It is always important to read not only the date and time in each post, but also the conditions under which it applies.

An activation is neither an object nor a universal date

A candle by itself is not an activation. Neither is a fan. Nor is a walk in a chosen direction. An activation arises when three things come together:

  1. a suitable moment in time;
  2. a specific space or direction;
  3. an action connected with your goal.

Sometimes this is a static practice: at a particular time, you work with a specific sector of your home or office. Sometimes it is dynamic—for example, a walk where the departure time, direction, route, and conditions of the particular technique all matter. The formula “place an object in the right sector and wait for a result” therefore oversimplifies the method. It leaves out the timing, space, purpose of the practice, and the action the person is prepared to take themselves.

Why a correct recommendation may not suit you personally

Finding a recommendation online that says “there is a good activation today” does not mean you have received a personal plan of action. It is like a weather forecast. The statement “summer is generally warm” is broadly true, but it does not tell you what to wear in a particular city at a particular time. More precise conditions are needed for that. Activations work according to a similar logic. There is a general time backdrop and there are formulas that can serve as useful reference points. But practical application depends on:

  • the person and their current situation;
  • the period they are in;
  • the place where they will perform the activation;
  • the sector in the home or office, or the direction of movement;
  • the goal they want to support;
  • the rules of the specific technique.

This does not make posts in the open channel useless. They offer an opportunity to practice independently if you carefully compare the stated conditions and limitations with your own situation. A personal file serves a different purpose: it saves you from having to search for and select recommendations manually every time.

How to read a personalized file

A personalized file removes much of the preparatory work, but it does not remove the need to understand exactly what you are doing.

First, understand the technique

The name of an activation does not always explain the procedure. Different practices may have different goals, formats, activators, durations, and limitations. It is therefore useful to begin by opening the instructions and understanding the rules of this particular technique instead of applying a familiar procedure indiscriminately.

Then check the time and place

The time in a personalized file is calculated for the locality specified when the file was prepared. If you are in another city or country during the month, the original conditions may no longer match. The same applies to the sector. A description such as “northeast” or “southwest” does not always mean an approximate direction within the room. The file may specify a particular part of the sector that must be identified correctly on the floor plan.

Only then proceed to the action

A single row in the table may involve substantial work: understanding the technique, checking the time, identifying the sector, considering the limitations, and preparing the action. This is normal. A personalized file helps select recommendations, while the instructions and careful attention help you apply them without unnecessary guesswork.

Begin not with a wish, but with the next task

The difficulty often arises before an activation has even been selected. A person says, “I want more money,” “I want a new job,” or “I want a relationship.” These are understandable wishes, but they are too broad for the practice. It is more useful to ask yourself two questions:

  1. What do I genuinely need to resolve right now?
  2. What real next step will bring me closer to it? For example:

“I need money”

→ “I need new clients”

→ “I need to prepare an offer and contact potential clients.”

Or:

“I need a new job”

→ “I need to receive invitations to interviews”

→ “I need to update my résumé and send it to selected companies.”

This turns a wish into a task you can work with. It then becomes easier to choose a recommendation, understand its purpose, and decide which action you want to support.

Do not try to devise the “perfect” wording for your goal. It is enough to name the nearest clear task and an action you are genuinely prepared to take.

An activation does not act in your place

If your task concerns clients, it is useful to devote the appropriate time to preparing an offer, making a call, corresponding, or negotiating. If it concerns learning, use the time for a lesson, exam preparation, or working with the material. If documents matter, use it to work on the documents. An activation does not relieve a person of the need to act. It helps you choose the conditions for action more carefully: the time, space, direction, and format of the practice. Think of it as a journey. It is helpful to choose a suitable time and route, but favorable timing alone will not take you where you need to go unless you start moving.

No single practice overrides the entire situation

Even when a technique is chosen carefully, other conditions remain: the person’s resources, their current period, their circumstances, their space, and the actual task. This does not mean that nothing can be done during a difficult period. But one activation does not become a “new engine” that overrides every limitation. It may help you make use of more suitable conditions for a particular step, but the decision, preparation, and action remain with the person. That is why an expectation such as “I followed all the instructions, so the result has to appear now” creates unnecessary disappointment. A practice is more useful when it is integrated into real life rather than separated from it as an isolated ritual.

A simple process for working with activations

Before you begin, follow this short sequence:

  1. Name the nearest task.
  2. Check whether the recommendation suits this task and your situation.
  3. Confirm the time, place, sector, and rules of the specific technique.
  4. Prepare the action you want to perform during this period.
  5. After the practice, return to your next step rather than waiting passively for a result. This is enough to turn activations from a collection of isolated dates into a tool for more conscious preparation for action.

Where to continue

If you would like to practice regularly and understand the conditions of application in greater depth, subscribe to “ShenQi Activations”. It features dates, explanations, and materials for independent practice. If you need a personalized file for the month, the ShenQi assistant will guide you through the ordering process and prepare your data for the team. The ShenQi team will compile recommendations based on your data and the place where you will be staying.

Activations do not promise an inevitable result. But they can help you pay closer attention to time, space, and the action you choose to take yourself.
